When you can, could you please take a look at the hoses running in and out of the WH. You should have the necessary fresh water in and out. They will probably be thin plastic and maybe even blue and red. But I'm curious if there is also some black rubber hoses that would carry radiator fluid back from the engine.
Maybe the testers at MH Mag. mistook water heated with the heat exchanger while driving about with 'on demand' hot water.
