Sue,
Hope you really enjoy your new Travato! We looked at one last Friday and for three hours afterwards we were seriously thinking about trading in our Pleasureway.
The wife liked the layout, bigger shower and fold up bed, giving more storage for larger items. We could live with the electric water heater, although not my first choice.
I have to say I had never seen an RV with a battery exposed under the chassis. The dealer said it was not uncommon, just seems to me it would catch a lot of road grime. I'm also curious if you find any information about the awning, if it can be closed manually.
Again, enjoy, and your comments on the Travato are appreciated.

2007 Pleasureway Excel-TS
Hi, like you we had a 2002 Traillite C. It was fine but the gaucho was deadly in the middle of the coach. It was not well insulated either as my feet were always cold. You have a PW Excel--they are fine IMHO, except I find they wander on the highway without spacers on wheels and tightened suspension. Nice quality for sure and better than some of the newbies on the block with their cheaper laminate.
My PW Plateau TS has a comfortable TV and stereo at the back with the electric couch. The only model I prefer is the LTV Free Spirit SS but, the cost is quite a problem.
The Travato will change in designs but it is a question of personal preferences. I do NOT use public facilities since I contracted a serious infection at a public facility long ago(lost my sight for weeks). So the wet bath is a major consideration. While people pick on Sprinters, most have useable bathrooms. If I didnt need a bathroom I could pick numerous fabricators.
