It doesn't appear that the awning can be closed manually. I will certainly look in the Travato manual and let you know.
We are currently on a camping excursion in Big Pine Key close to Key West. So far, so good. There is not a lot to the Travato, it's very speedy to get set up and break down. I am stunned by the amount of things we have packed into this Class B. We have 3 of those large plastic adirondack chairs, all of our regular things you would expect, plus fishing poles, 3 kiteboards (like surfboards) and three very large kitesurfing packs. I will have to take a photo of the heap we packed in here, it's like a clown car and we still have room. I do like that the gear can stay in the back and keep the galley clear and bathroom path clear.
I do not have any complaints so far on this trip. The back bed isn't the greatest size wise for two adults, but it's do-able. I have a king bed at home, so it feels a little narrow. If it is two adults and you feel crammed, one could use the dinette bed. I did try a night on the dinette bed with a sleeping bag under me and it was much better than expected.
It is very hot and humid down here this weekend. We spent a large portion of time in the coach. It worked out really well. We weren't falling over each other.
So far so good. I posted a link of where we are camping, the scenery is very beautiful.
