Firestone 22.5 tires for RV

Need new tires for the RV the closest dealer to me has firestone tires in the size I need in stock . Never heard of firestones on a DP any thoughts?
  • Put a set of Firestone on our pusher in 2012. Slight amount of tire whine at low speeds but not objectionable. I thought it was a good compromise between the less expensive Chinese imports and the expensive Michelin's.
  • I had a set on my DP that I just sold and was very happy with them. I put 4000 miles on them.
  • I had Firestone's on my Prevost when I bought the coach. They lasted 80,000 miles before I had to replace them. I like my Michelins that I have now better but the difference is not really that great so if you can get a good deal on the Firestone's I would not hesitate.

    Running 315 FS400s on the front of my DP...35K miles and will use the same when replacing. Using Hankooks on the rear as I do not need that big a tire back there.
  • A new set of Firestones were installed on my recently-purchased Monaco Diplomat. I have less than 500 miles since purchase, so I can't comment on them, except to say the new tires sure look good.
    The selling dealer had them installed at no cost to me, so I wasn't about to say, "No."
  • I'd run them. We have Bridgestones, Firestone is a corporate cousin.

    From their Linked-in page;

    Nashville, Tenn.-based Bridgestone Americas, Inc. is the U.S. subsidiary of Bridgestone Corporation, the world’s largest tire and rubber company.

    Bridgestone Americas and its subsidiaries develop, manufacture and market a wide range of Bridgestone, Firestone and associate brand tires to address the needs of a broad range of customers, including consumers, automotive and commercial vehicle original equipment manufacturers, and those in the agricultural, forestry and mining industries.
  • I run them on drivers on my DP. They work fine, may only need air once a year if that. Have run them on freight trucks without problems. Will look at them again when I have to replace them.

    I don't have them on the steering axle as I went to something else to provide better grip on snow and ice for when I occasionally get into it.
