Firestone Tires

Anybody using firestone tires and how do you like them. I have Michelins on right now, but just blew an inside dual, and wiped out all of my propane lines. $1000 repair estimate. These tires only had 26 thousand miles and are on a 2007 29 foot four winds. I will not replace them with another set of Michelins. Thanks

  • I had 6 transforce H T's put on our 31ft. 2003 Coachmen last june and handles great and ride is good. The RV had the same on it when I got it 2 years earlier and had a lot of tread but did know how long they had been on so felt safer with new ones.Price was about $1300. as I remember.
  • Maybe Firestones are designed to last 6 years with no cracking.
  • tranforce on front BFG TA on rear so far so good run 65 frt 80 rear

load around 13500 I know BFG own by Michelins but diff make up ithink
  • I am on my second set of Firestone Transforce tires. Replaced the first set after 6 years, have 4 years in the current set. I'm happy with them.
  • I have an 08 Tioga tires made in 07 replaced the Michelins in Dec because of cracks. Installed Firestone Trans Force happy with tires and price.
  • Just put 6 new Firestone TransForce tires on.
So far the ride is nice. And cheaper than Michelin.
  • Been using them for 7 years, only 2 I had to replace early was my fault. Knocked the front out of alignment on return trip, stopping late at night rolled out early , when I finally caught it they where badly worn, almost to cord on outside edges, did not blow.
  • Luckily, I replaced my 5 year old Michelins, which were badly weather checked, before they blew, I replaced them with Firestone Transforce HT's, they ride better than the Michelins, & are not as prone to sidewall cracking, & they are quite a bit cheaper than the Michelins.
Do a search on here for Firestone Transforce.
