Firestone Vs Michelins
Replacement of my 6 Michelins -LT 225/75/R16 on ford E450 26' frame is $1400! Alternate quote for eqivalent Firestone is $400 less! So, has anyone done the replacement switch? Tire guy says Michelin ...

Michelin name needs no introduction anywhere in the world. Those MS/2's are getting great reviews. That said, I'd consider TransForce, and probably the BFG tire mentioned above. Can't really say why, but the Uniroyal didn't impress me. There's that high line General that Tom mentioned above, but for that price I'd go Michelin XPS Rib.
I was ready to buy TransForce, MS/2 or BFG then weighed the coach. It came up so heavy I decided we should be running top-tier tires and went with Bridgestone Duravis R250. They're "highway" tires like XPS Rib. If you want a traction tire, then R250 and Rib aren't for you.
