Ideally, the Revcon will take me across country and back to California without breaking down or dying all together.
Can you give me suggestions on what to look for, what to be aware of, or tell me if it's nuts to think a 43 year old RV will make it across country?
Here's the model I'm looking at:

I appreciate any input!
Well, your ideal is everyone's wish when they depart on a long trip.
Many do not make the round trip without some sort of equipment adventure whether they are driving a new or old or big or little rig.
New tires installed will increase your odds. A thorough chassis and drive train inspection, repair and service will increase your odds.
A leaky roof or window, a refrigerator that does not cool, an air conditioner that does not cool, a heater that does not heat, will not affect the vehicle's ability to make the round trip.
They could however affect your comfort level.
