Having restored 2 Classic MH's I can offer some advice based on experience. Owning one of these beauties is not for everyone. Do you have mechanical experience? Are you prepared to spend up to $5000 in the first month of ownership? Is the seller the first owner? How long has he owned this unit? You need more pics of the exterior. Often the lack of photos for a given area is indicative of problems. Why is he selling. The description is very positive but sellers do enhance sometimes. Does he have invoices for the recent repairs. I seem to remember that front wheel drive system is weak and very hard to repair. Parts should be available but I am not sure about brake calipers and master cylinders. The engine area looks neglected. Those plug wires are garbage and look very old. Someone has rerouted them. Has the unit sat for a long time. Sometimes people use old units as a storage container. When they decide to sell the interior is staged for the pictures. Is that contraption on the rear bumper a cheap old generator? I wonder if there was a genie installed behind the rear grille? If you have to take this to a mechanic and he is not familiar with the FW drive you will pay dearly for his education. There are experts for these who work on the GMC motorhomes. Is the roof aluminum or fiberglass? Is it one piece? Leaks can make it worthless.
There is my 2 cents worth. If you are not too far away it might be worth the trip to see it BEFORE any deposit. Start with asking questions and getting more pics. If he cannot comply walk away.
