I've looked at pretty much all the 36 ft Ford V10 gas models that Fleetwood (Bounder, Southwind), Tiffin (Allegro), Newmar (Canyon Star) and Winnebago (Sightseer) make. All are around the $145-150K retail price range, come with full body paint, 22.5 in tires, bath and a half an a center lounge/slide out L couch.
The Tiffin 36LA is built on a 252 inch 24,000 lb chassis, where as all the others are on 232-234 inch wheelbases, and on a 22,000 lb chassis. For 2014, Tiffin put a residential fridge in the Allegro, which I don't think any other gas model has.
My Bounder has been a GREAT motorhome, never a major problem, just a few things that have broken over the past years. I would buy another one, but if Tiffin is going to offer a longer wheelbase, bigger chassis and diesel like features for the same price, then that's what I plan to buy...
