I got rid of all the carpet some years ago and replaced it with allure. It was the best thing I have done makes keeping the coach clean very easy when camping (no wife). I have had zero issues with temp from hottest summers to coldest Idaho winters. Wet muddy dog camp gear etc no problem just wipe it up or sweep it out. I left a 1/4 inch gap all around and covered that with quarter round.
