Sorry, can't offer any possible reasons for your tub and gray tank to fill. Has to be water going into the gray tank from some where. I seriously doubt if a small drip can fill a 40 gal tank plus tub in a few hours.

However, everyone has mentioned about turning the water supply off when you leave. The simple solution is to utilize your fresh water tank and pump. Fill the tank, turn off the water supply, and then use your pump whenever you need fresh water. Very simple.

Depending upon how much water you normally use will determine how often you have to fill your fresh water tank. We only turn on the pump whenever we actually need fresh water....we do not leave it on continuously. It doesn't take long for you to get into the habit of turning the pump on and off whenever you need it. Of course it helps to have multiple pump switches located through out the rv...or it's not that difficult to install them.

This post is kind of like the post yesterday about turning the water pump off. It only takes a few seconds to turn the water off at the post or the pump switch off when leaving for a while. The hard part is remembering to turn it back on when returning.

Have seen water coming from RV's more than once, I really don't want this to happen to me. JMO

This threaded may motivate me to put a 12V solenoid valve on my city water supply line so I can shut it off when out of the coach. I never use the "Salesman switch" by the door so I could use it to power this solenoid. My pump has several switches to turn it off/on so that is easy... if I remember.

I had a coupler on my interior water filter break and started spraying water all under the sink. Lucky I was there and heard the thunk and spraying when it let go. I turn my water off too when leaving! Wish there was a valve inside to turn it back on as I often forget and have to go back out. lol I also leave the grey water valve open when stored at home and the fresh water tank full to prevent what happened to you, just in case.

In the last 20 years I have shut off two water lines to campers that had water running out the door. I still don't shut off our water when we leave and I don't know why.

I also turn the water off when I leave the site, except one time when I went to the camp store to get ice cream, I returned to find water coming out of my fresh water fill inlet. Found out the pump check valve went bad and allowed the city water to fill and overflow the fresh water tank. Remember Murphy is never too far behind!

If I'm leaving the site for more than a short few minutes I cut the water off. I've seen the damage that can occur in a friends camper.
