I was surprised when I read your first response (that' why i told you to agree with me :)) No worries at all, haha.
She and I have been talking and I think the CCC and being on the limit on weight right off the bat are big worries. Also, while we could live with being slow in the mountains, I think (as many have pointed out) the rig be sluggish overall.
We're going to keep looking. We're still waiting on an '08 excursion 39R to come in to a dealer we've been working with. That should have a residential fridge and also a 360HP Cummins ISC 8.3L engine. It'll also have a 10,000b hitch. It'll be more than we want to spend, but I think it might be the one. We'll see.
A larger coach with a tag axle would be great, but I think we'd have to go back 15 or 20 years to get our hands on one!
Finally, this forum has become part of the family now. Everytime she and I are debating/analyzing, we end the discussion with: ok, let's see what the folks on rv.net have to say! Thanks for all the feedback :)
