If you can't keep them away, go to Harbor Freight and get an Electronic Fly Swatter.
Then have fun eliminating the annoying little flying things while you're sitting outside. :)

Here is one you have not heard of, get a bunch of cattails, dry them in the sun. When dry using the stem or stalk, stuff them in the ground and light them. Blow out the flame so they smolder and enjoy your patio, smells good too!!!!
I remember back as a kid we used them and had great success. - TntmanExplorerHere is one you have not heard of, get a bunch of cattails, dry them in the sun. - Not_a_Yurt_ExplorerX2 on the fan to keep the mosquitoes away. We use an 12" metal fan (not too big, or too small) outside that reduces nuisance bugs. Not a perfect solution, but much better than my bourbon smelling like a deet or citronella cocktail. Plus, move it inside and sit it on the floor near the engine doghouse and it circulates air in the coach, thank you very much. Get a metal fan - the blades seem to be better balanced with reduced flex compared to the plastic versions. Amazon has a bunch for under $35.
- prstlkExplorerThere is a smartphone app that uses sound
- tvman44ExplorerA good fan if it is too windy to use a Thermacell.
- dcbrewerExploreruse a fan blowing toward the patio, it works.
- Fun_33vExplorerWe use a 18"box fan it messes up there flight plan works pretty good don't like putting on bug spray if I can help it.:)
- 10forty2ExplorerA good smokey campfire....but it really makes everything, including your RV, smell like smoke. OFF makes an area fogger/spray that comes in a can you can try. I've had pretty good luck with that as well.
