As I understand that if you are in compliance with the state you are registered in, other states cannot make you comply with their requirements. I may be wrong but dont think so. Only thing is if it were a double tow situation, but I have seen tripple tows here in AZ and the 1st was not a 5th wheel setup. A TT behind a van with a jeep behind it with a small trailer attached! Cops passed on by without stopping. Dont know where this was from but......
When we were traveling thru calif on motorcycles with trailers, passed a sign that said vehicles with trailers 55mph, we were doing 65 when passed by a chippee and he never looked back. We were just talking about it on the cb when he went by and then he stopped at the local DQ just ahead of us, so he was not on a call to say he was busy. So just make sure you are in compliance with your jurisdiction and be happy. Just be sure to have safety chains, they could stop you for that!
