Well here may be some information I didn't want to see. I received my Bosch 1015 Code reader. After hooking it up I did the KOEO Test before trying to start it. Reason for this was it wouldn't start!!
Now I believe through recording the blinks with also a beeping sound I have come up wit a total different set of codes for the EEC Test.
Here's what I think I have. I believe my system is made up of the 3 digit code system.
Here are the codes I believe I have read. I may have to take them to a shop and have them read, but here is what it showed.
First Code was 116- Engine coolant temp sensor to high or low.
Second Code was 636- Transmission Oil temp sensor to high or to Low.
Third Code was - 114 - Air Charge Temp to high or to low.
These 3 codes I'm thinking showed up due to the cold nature of the test with no warm up.( Your thought are appreciated on these 3 codes)
Now for the one I didn't want to see.
Forth code Shows a 211 Code- Profile Ignition Pick up Sensor(PIP) Circuit Failure.
This is one that requires removal of the Distributor to replace the PIP sensor. Pretty much out of my league. Before I do this I will check once again all the wires running to the distributor to insure good connections. Hope to stumble on a wire broken or such.
So with this bit of info, as there anyway to check the PIP before pulling distributor or should I check something else?
Thanks for all the great help here .
