Anyone towing a 2014 or 2015 Ford Edge? Any comments pros or cons?
Thanks

We're looking to buy a new toad within the next few weeks, and the two remaining candidates are the Jeep Cherokee Limited (4WD with 2-speed TC) and the Ford Edge. The Edge looks very nice, and has the added bonus (in my mind) of coming from a company that didn't have to suck money out of taxpayers in order to stay in business.
As noted above, only certain engine/tranny combinations for the Edge are towable four-wheels down, but for those combinations the owner's manual approves such towing: "Follow these guidelines if you have a need for recreational (RV) towing. An example of recreational towing would be towing your vehicle behind a motorhome. ..."
We spoke to a couple in an adjacent campsite recently who had an Edge and loved it. The selling point for them was that the toad was also the wife's general purpose car (as it will be for us), and it met that purpose well. Theirs was an older model (I forget what year, but maybe 4 or 5 years old) and they had zero problems, with no expenses except for ordinary maintenance. Reliability is important for us. So, it's coming down to comfort, features, and the ultimate reality, price. So far, the Edge looks good on all counts.*

* Actually, there's one other factor. My wonderful, intelligent, beautiful wife (in case she's reading this) also wants the toad's color to be coordinated with the color scheme on the motorhome. Really.
