Ford F-53 Anti sway bar quick fix

I have seen several posts on You Tube where they have changed the placement of the bolt on their anti sway bar from the front hole of the bracket to the rear hole on the bracket. They say it noticeably affects the handling (in a positive way) of the coach. I have a 2016 Ford F-53 chassis and was considering making this adjustment. Would like to know
1. Has anyone made this adjustment?
2. How noticeable was the improvement?
3. Have you had any long term issues?
I did call Ford. I asked the tech how Ford determined which hole to put the bolt in - the tech wasn’t really sure but after a few minutes on hold - the tech came back and said Ford determined by the weight and length of the chassis. So I realize could affect warranty but mine is out of warranty so that is not a concern.

Thanks for any input.

    1. Yes
    2. Very noticeable
    3. No after 9 years and 50,000 miles.

  • I did the CHF on both of our previous gas coaches. Very easy to do. Took about 20 mins for the front and about 30 for the rear. Remarkable difference in wander and truck push. it's a no brainer since It's free.
  • I did my buddy’s for him. We installed front Sumo springs. And did the CHF on the frt and rear at the same time. The change in handling is impressive! I would recommend when doing the front to get longer links!
  • You can do the CHF on the rear with no issues.
The front CHF will need longer end links to help keep the links from having alignment issues.

  • As has been noted, the IRV2 has a long post on the subject of over 400 pages. After reading a lot of them I tried it on my coach and noticed a nice improvement.

You can always restore it if you disagree.
    Cheap Handling Fix
  • Maybe so but they only send a frame and they had no way to know the finished unit.
