NO "clicking"? That would mean the solinoid TO the starter is not getting any "juice". And the solinoid, as far as I know is BEFORE the starter motor.
Might be a loose battery cable. Or the ignition switch went bad. Even the solinoid might have gone bad. A hundred things.
Whatever is is, I hope it's simple.
As far as I know, Ford has no chronic problems of this nature.
