Well, being 3 feet longer might have something to do with it. But as I pointed out, not all Sprinters are equal in their layouts or their tank capacities.
But having a few extra gallons of capacity is not going to put much of a dent in the remaining payload. The weight is in all the cabinetry. That's where the benefit of having a Sprinter based RV. You can carry a bunch of junk in all those cabinets, if that is what you need to do.
My argument is not that a Promaster is the best possible platform for an RV. I'm saying it has a place in the market and is suitable for certain uses and price points. You guys are saying it's totally unsuitable and nobody will build on it. I just beg to differ.
I'd argue that Promaster based RV's will displace the market for the Agile and for vans like the 170, 190 and 210. Transit may also take this business depending on how they are priced. Promaster certainly has enough size and payload to provide competition to those products.
