While aluminum and plastic panels makes sense for consumer vehicles, and for some light duty commercial, I have a hard time believing you'll get widespread use in heavy duty commercial.
If they do introduce it, and doesn't hold up, there would be alot of pushback from commercial customers.
Some of these new vans have sacrificial and cheaply replaceable panels to address that kind of concern.
For RV use, though, aluminum use is a great idea - cut down the weight and improve economy. RV's don't really get beat on too much, so it would hold up well.
