just pulled off the highway and Ford V10 2005 tranny is stuck in first?????? Help

Does moving the shift lever into "1" or "2" change anything?
4th gear is the default gear, sure it's in 1st?
If you lose one solenoid, it'll still have two gears. It never shifts at all, right?
Reverse work?
