Forest River Motorhomes RV One Superstores????

We recently purchased a motorhome from Orlando RV and picked it up at Buffalo RV. The coach is a Forest River Berkshire. On pick up the problems started. We were told by the tech that the generator would not run and they pulled the carb and could find nothing wrong. That should have been a warning. Since when does a diesel generator have a carb. Our delivery person was a real trip. No matter what was wrong he just skipped over it. We left the dealer with the coach and went home to inspect the coach as we did not want to get arrested in New York. Nine pages and hundreds of pictures later and Forest River wants a second chance but is no willing to tell us how they intend to repair the coach. If you are even thinking about a Forest River please contact me. I will forward some of the pictures of our $262,000.00 coach. Our pictures will change your mind about both, Forest River & RV One Superstores.
  • The list of stores is part of a conglomerate of stores. part of the "RV One Superstores Inc" chain. Looks like this list are the RV stores----- Albany RV, Buffalo RV, Des Moines RV, and Orlando RV. Doug
  • Why would anyone purchase a Motorhome when too many issues during the PDI. Then take it home knowing that you will find pages of issues wrong with it. Surely more to the story, I hope!

WEll, we can even add to the "mystery" of this first post. You see the Berkshire doesn't even LIST for $262,000, but the OP says he's got a coach that cost him that much. He bought it in Orlando but picked it up in Buffalo? He's having so many problems with his coach and his dealer, yet so many of us who have dealt with both companies have had great responses from both the dealer and the manufacturer.

Yep, something doesn't add up at all.
Maybe he got this one: http://rvone.com/index.php/stockmodels/showstockmodel/FLM4278 and got it discounted by $15,000.00? Here is the breakdown on it: http://www.rvdirect.com/uploads/pdf/flm4278msrp.pdf

But he sure hasn't given us a lot of info on the situation!!!

    Another interesting first post. :W
  • The OP says the "delivery person was a real trip" but he picked it up at Buffalo RV. Why did he need a delivery person and why did he take it if it was so bad? Something isn't right.

    What does that mean?
  • So with all the problems during the PDI, you still paid them and took delivery?
