Forest River Products

Hi Folks, Could anyone tell me the difference between Sunseeker and Forester motorhomes. Looking at 2250 models. Pictures look the same, but, prices are much different. Thanks.
  • Furnishings, primarily. You can pay anywhere from $50 to $800 for a chair at the furniture store, same principle applies furnishing interior of a RV. There used to be a lot of structural differences, but since the late 20th century introduction of the Sunseeker as a price leader, it has gradually been upgraded to Forester construction, and they are manufactured together.

Go try out the seats and beds for each line. If the Sunseeker is good enough for you, you can save a lot of money by sitting on foam cushions.

price the sunseeker 2250 at rvdirect. take that price and add 500 dollars.that should be the forester price for the 2251

that should be the max you will pay.
  • Not sure what you are being quoted but compare your price to rvdirect.com and see how close they are. My local dealer isn't remotely close so flying to Florida and driving back is probably our option.
  • Forrester has upgraded trim and more standard features from what I saw when I was RV shopping.
  • Had Forest River Sunseeker for 2 years, traded it off this summer. We did not like the interior trim at all. Many sharp edges in doors, etc. Drawer hardware was very inferior, broke several and could not find replacements. Cabinet drop down doors dropped to head/ eye level and were accidents in waiting to happen.. Overall, poor interior quality. Tom
  • They are essentially the same. I have a Sunseeker 2012 3010 ds and the interior finish is excellent. We love it.
  • We were looking at the 2250 this weekend and liked the layout. I didn't know about the 2251. Thanks for posting.
  • Forester has very few options - std partial paint, fiberglass boards and wheel arch, soft touch ceiling, flush mounted lights, upgraded trim, Serta mattress, front one piece nose cap, residential hinges, and so on.
