After dealing with some of the tire kickers that I did when I was selling my Class A, I side with the seller.
If I was him I would get an estimate on how much it would cost to re-winterize the rig. If the buyer is willing to up front that money knowing that they would forfeit it if it was a no-sale then I would be OK with filling the tanks with water for the showing. Otherwise the seller has all the skin in the game, and the buyer just wants a free ride.
Why should ANY buyer have to pay anything to want the systems to be in operating order??????????? As I stated, You want to sell your RV in the winter in a freezing area, then YOU as the seller have to jump thru the hoops. I guess some people have no common sense. When did ANY seller have the right to demand a potential buyer to pay anything to verify standard operating items???????? You really think it is a seller's market out there in a COLD climate market area??? I have an idea. Have the seller drop the price $1000 and IF when spring comes the water systems are OK, the buyer sends him the extra $1000. If any leaks the buyer uses that money to fix the damaged items. He keeps what he does not spend. For HIS hassle. Doug
