First: On my coach all tanks and valves are enclosed in a bay which is heated by the furnace. However at 11 degrees, NOT ENOUGH HEAT and a pex line froze. PEX freezes well, no damage.
Now I added heat to both ENDS of the wet bay, On the "DUMP" side is a 100 watt Rough Service incandescent lamp (Basically a drop cord or trouble light) and at this time a 150 watt space heater. On the other end a string of C-9 Christmas lamps, roughly 270 watts total. Still the PEX froze. Likely in the middle as far from the heat as you can get.
The plastic (hard plastic) fittings on both ends did not freeze since they are where the aux electric heaters are.
I'm on internal water.. Low was 11 per my wall meter. Glad it's 2x that this AM.
