Freezing Weather
We are on our way to Florida and had to stop in SC for the night. It is supposed to get down to 31 tonight. Do I need to worry about the water lines freezing?

- Your furnace will keep them from freezing at that temp. your water hookup hose will freeze.

- This isn't mentioned often, but I used to run my hot water heater only to safeguard my trailers basement on the borderline nights late in the fall when I didn't want to winterize. Depending on your unit's design-often the little bit of extra warmth that the hot water heater gives off is plenty to keep everything just fine thru a 25-30 spell. An added benefit is that the HW heater costs way less to operate than the furnace!
Just an aside-we're camping-last night it got down to around 10F here in NE PA-it was 12 at 8pm...I'm kinda amazed at how well our Carriage does in these temps. - No problem you own one of the better insulated RV's out on the market!

Do I need to worry about the water lines freezing?- We are staying in a KOA north of Seattle now for Thanksgiving with the kids/grandkids. we just got a front of cold air from the Frazier Valley, the temp is 26. It's cold but the MH is toasty. This KOA has thier water lines and post wrapped and wired for heat.
- We are in northeast North Dakota and living in our motor home while our house is being built. We survived -15F Wednesday night. We had the furnace set to 64F and had two 1500 watt electric heaters, one in the bedroom and one in the front.
- Might want to put the water hose in as it might freeze and no water in the morning unless you have water in the on board tank
