Other than the use of household bleach to sanitize your fresh water tank, are there any other products available to buy precisely for eliminating and preventing algae's? I've most recently read in May...

I sanitize with bleach once per year and flush, flush, flush to get rid of the bleach. I've never had an algae problem. Occasionally I'll add a few ounces of bleach mid-season and let it sit overnight before flushing again. I usually drain the tank when I get home from a trip, and put in about 10 or so gallons of fresh water before a trip just to have some for flushing the toilet and hand-washing along the way until we get to the campground.
