- 4x4vanExplorer IIIIf you get intermittent cycling when using the pump system (no city water hookup), then the problem is likely a bad check valve in the pump. Otherwise, it is likely a leaking fill valve.
- BumpyroadExplorerthe shut off on my bounder was a small brass valve. it had an O ring that had a very tiny slit in it and it would leak water past and back into the tank.

Other possibility is the on-board pump internal check valve is leaking allowing water to back flow thru pump.
It's happened to me. I put a ball valve inline in the pipe from the pump and close it when we are on shore water or open it to use water thru the pump. The pump stopped the intermittent cycling too. - Old-BiscuitExplorer IIIIf you have a FILL valve it could be leaking thru or is cracked open

Fresh water tank full.......turn off city water and run the pump using tank.
Flushing water thru could free up/clear pump check valve
FILL valve....open/close it and see if it shuts off better. Otherwise replacement - usersmanualExplorer
