Good for the owner. It happened and I would recommend him to others.
Anything that was drawing AC power could be damaged. This includes anything on standby power (waiting for remote to turn on etc). In addition to what you already know don't overlook refer, HD, charger, MW, sat receiver, any TV converters, etc.
