How did you plug your 30 amp into a 220 without some kind of connector or did the Electrician install a 30 amp plug with 220 wiring. A 220 plug is totally different than a 30 amp. They would not marry up.

If the electrician installed a 30 amp plug in He is so in the wrong. If this is a licensed electrician, he is responsible for everything.
