Jim I would measure the ride height first before I did any thing. You should measure about 1 3/4 ins between the stops on the A arm. If you are in tolerance you can replace the bag, it sounds and looks harder than it really is. If you have less than an inch ride height I would replace the coil bag assy with the Henderson SS springs. I have done both and I can tell you the SS springs made a big difference in ride especially over expansion joints, even though the springs were HD (6000 lbs on a 5500 lb front axle). Knowing what I know now I would just replace bags with the SS springs and just do the job once.
