The lower control arm (or I-beam) comes with new balljoints and knuckles, and replacing ball joints can be more difficult than replacing the beams. Also, the radius arm (or trailing arm) is an better design which uses hyme joints instead of donut bushings, which means there is no more binding and no more cracked and worn bushing.
