From what I'm gathering, the seat has to be offset to the left to be able to swivel. Is that true? And possibly higher than stock, depending on the hardware.

Snowman: The hardware used was outlined in the first post in this thread,with pictures,It even tells where it can be purchased.
The seat when bolted to the swivel offsets it about 3/4 inch to the left and raises the seat about 1 3/4 inches.It swivels just fine.

It should work fine in your rig.
