After reading many stories here on shock replacement...I'm going to pay a shop to do mine. I'm no stranger to a wrench, but, just doesn't seem worth the hassle if something DOES go wrong, i.e. seized nut, stripped threads, etc.
Will be taking mine to a truck center nearby and paying them the 1 or 2hrs labor rate. Probably have my Allison serviced at the same time, before I head south in March.
