Front wheel turn "cut" precentage

Since I am brand new to driving Class A RV's. I decided to watch a couple Driver Confidence videos on BetterRVing.com. One talked about turning right and left and knowing the cutting angle of the front tires for your particular coach. This in turn set your reference for turning i.e. front of the dash (45 degree cut angle.) And your hips, if the cut angle is 50 degrees or higher. This is so your rear end won't take out a sign, fire hydrant, curb etc. With that in mind any one know the front wheel cut angle is for a 2003 32 foot Southwind?
Thank!
  • 45 degrees, it wasn't until January of 2004 that Workhorse transitioned to the 50 degree cut on the chassis. Your MH was built before that time.
  • It is up to you to watch that rear end, there are no standards for overhang or wheel cut. The tighter your wheel cut, and the longer your overhang, the more likely you will hit something with the rear of your motorhome.

    Been there, done that.
  • Thanks all! I know I need to watch my rear end and I am, however; I will also take every tip that will help make me a safer driver. Thanks Greyghost for your definitive answer!
