Fuel fears

While I'm on the forum I want to ask for more advise. I parked our Holiday Rambler last year in July thinking surely we had several trips left in the season. Aside from some warming starts and moving around in the yard, it has the July gas still in the tank. We've been through the polar vortex here in Memphis with temps getting down to 6 at night.

Is it ok to maybe put more gas and maybe an additive in the tank, or would it be best to try and get all of it out and put new in? I'm not sure how much is in the tank, but it would take several of my 5 gal cans to get it all removed.

    Depending on where you are, that is very possibly a totally untrue statement.
    We vacation in northern Minnesota, or used to before the moho.
    They pump "oxygenated fuel" at all the resorts.
    "Oxygenated" = 5-8% ethanol.

    I personally have no problem with enthanol mix gas, we've had that here in Illinois for 30 years...
    But making a statement like you did, while it may be true where you are, you didn't specify, and it is certainly not true everywhere.

    I've been using Stabil for years with Zero problems. Why is it I should switch to seafoam?

    I may be doing something wrong, but my old pickup sits for months & months with the same gas in it. I don't fill it up but once a year. Has been that way for 10+ years. Not saying I won't have a problem, but haven't had any yet with that old gas. My tractor sits all winter and it starts right up and runs great with last years gas.

    Another excellent fuel system cleaner/additive is Chevron concentrated fuel system fuel usually available at wally world. Will be in Chevron station fuel and Valero. Usually (1) bottle per (20) gal.

    If you have a gasoline engine I would fill the tank and assuming 70 to 90 gallons add about 4 cans of SEAFOAM stabilizer additive.

    Fact is.... I have just over half a tank.. Did the math and figure I may not gas up till about May.. (Actually I will sooner, but I'm going to build up my discounts first) So i seafoamed the rig.. I still drive it every 1.5 weeks (Average) but I only drive about 20 miles.. Just enough (on the hills around here) to get it good and warmed up. So I Seafoamed.

    Come June.. I'll make a serious drive.. but June is "Long time off".

    here in ny, it is not uncommon to have our motorhomes in storage from november to may which is 6 months. i do treat as with sea foam in november and put some additive in the gas in the spring. my first tank does not get the best mileage but it does work fine.
