If you are driving a turbocharged engine you need to really watch the octane rating of your fuel. My F150 with a 3.5 ecoboost engine says to run a minimum 87 octane rating fuel at all times including at high elevations. The manual specifically states that while towing at any elevation you should run 91 octane for the best performance.
