That doesn't always work. Slow fuel intake is truly the only thing I find aggravating about my coach. I have tried removing the opposite cap and still got a jet of fuel out that cap when trying to use the truck nozzle at half speed. I have learned to hold the nozzle at about quarter speed and estimate the gallons needed, takes about 10 minutes to get 70-80 gallons but I don't get covered with fuel.
I checked the vent line I could find, no loop and blew into it and it seemed clear. My problem according to Spartan was that some coaches had two vent lines and sometimes the coach house maker did not properly vent the second line and sometimes just left them laying on top of the tank. Spartan's quote was "good luck finding that second line".
