Well,
To me, it's kind-of a principle thing. If you buy a $100K motor home, and they give you a 100 gallon fuel tank, and in this day and age, some supposedly "reliable" gauges, (gauges, wiring, sending units have been improved over the last few decades), and then they do a bad job of routing the large filler hoses so the system has a hard time accepting the last few gallons!
I mean, what if this happened to your daily driver? Your motorcycle? Your pickup? etc. I kind-a go by the philosophy that if I buy something, I WANT IT TO WORK! So, having this trouble with the last few gallons, is a pain. I normally put up with it because I'm normally in no hurry to my next destination. And, putting up with the "click/off, click/off, click/off for a number of minutes, just allows me the farthest mileage ability before I HAVE to find fuel.
But, If I give up too soon, it just limits my range. Why have a 100 gallon fuel tank installed if you're only going to use 50?
