Full body vinyl wrap

Has anyone used a full vinyl wrap on their motorhome? What should I expect for expense?
  • You take it to RV rally and people will come with all kind of crazy ideas.

  • Done 10 years ago for $7000.
Bought very expensive camera and drove/ boat about 1500 miles to retake several pictures.
The picture of Valley of Fire included my car on it, but unfortunately the car image come over coach wheel.

The life expectancy is 8 years, mine still holds well after 10 regardless rivets, but I keep my coach under carport.
  • I looked into it a few years back and determined it wasn't cost effective. Body wraps are mostly used for advertising which is what they were mainly designed for. Unless you have indoor storage to keep it out of the sun most of the time, they say the wrap will only last 2 or 3 years before it needs replaced. Basically it's cheaper to do a full body paint that will last longer than several body wraps.
  • IMHO that's not a good idea. It might be if the rig could be vacuum packed but since it's not I think it is a good place for moisture to accumulate.
I don't even like the full body covers.
We use a Sunshield tarp that covers the roof and part of the sides, front and back. No place for moisture to accumulate and the smaller size makes putting it on and taking it off much easier.
