Full River AGM batteries

Anyone have any experience with Full River AGM deep cycle batteries? My local supplier claims they are reliable and have as good a warranty as any in the business.
  • Thanks, folks for the feedback. I ended up buying Trojan 6V AGM 220 amp hour (20 hr. rate). All the AGM's are pricey for sure. One of my issues was getting the batteries from someone who would remove the 156 lb 8D's I have. Turns out a local golf car dealer gave me a fair price on the Trojans and will happily have his techs R&R the batteries for me. So, good deal all around. Getting USA made batteries, supporting a good local business and saving my back :B
  • I bought a small one, U2200?, to run the trolling motor on my 12' inflatable. Used it hard for 4 years and never had an issue. It sat for over a year and now I have it in my riding mower since I froze the mower battery over the winter. Who says you can't use a deep cycle as a starter battery.

  • I bought 4 6volts two years ago in Quartzsite. They are hooked up full time to my solar panels and work great.
    They are made in China!!!

  • I prefer AGM to avoid the maintenance, gassing, etc. issues you have to address with any standard lead-acid battery.

I have gotten pricing on Full River ($250 each) and Duracell AGM at Sam's ($179.00). Both are GC2 6 volt. I am waiting on a price for Deka's. I hope Deka is competitive which is my preference since the dealer is also a local and respected golf car dealer. Deka makes the Duracell's.
  • Full River.. is a high quality brand
there are forum members who have them
AFAIK.. everyone that has them is Very Happy with them

  • If you HAVE TO HAVE AGM batteries you can buy them at Sams. Both jumbo 12V and golf cart sized 6V
  • They are another Chinese battery. I've heard a few horror stories about Chinese batteries recently from other RVers.

I have been looking at Full River recently only because a local battery distributor has them. I'm probably going to end up with either MK batteries made by Deka or Trojan batteries in large part because they are made in the USA.
