Just my $.02. I've talked to some buyers of new motorhomes of all makes. Their desire was to have an RV they liked and pretty much idiot proof. Not all, but some said when their coach went in for warranty service, it was in for months. One even was denied local service because they had bought theirs out of town to save money. They were forced to take it back @150 miles for warranty work. Both dealers sold this brand of RV. This might work differently on the road. With all products I've purchased, seems like a warranty is only there to help sell the item, not to actually help buyers fix broken stuff. Its always a great hassle to use and takes at least twice as long to fix as would be needed. Another issue cropped up during the recent "Great Recession". Several RV manufacturers went into some sort of bankruptcy. Monaco did twice. When this happened, everyone lost their warranties (RV dealers lost more); even if they had just drove off the lot. Moral: I wouldn't use the warranty issue to determine whether to buy new or used. Keep an emergency fund.
