Furnace no bueno?

The wife, me and our son are driveway camping tonight to test out the Minnie Winnie. Things are going great except the furnace only blows cold air. First thing I checked was the propane level. The in house gauge says it's near empty and the dial gauge on the tank says it's almost half full. I'm not sure which one to believe since the tank levels are reading full even though I know they are empty. The burners all have gas to them, I checked the fuses and breakers. So what should I check next? Could it be that the propane level is too low for the furnace? I also kicked on the water heater and it seems to be working.

Atleast this thing warms up quickly and easily with a space heater.

  • I'm plugged into my shop. Could it be I have too many things running and not enough juice to supply it all? I just ran a good heavy gauge extension cord to it. Right now I've got a couple of lights and the TV on and that's it. Still only blowing cold.

FYI, the water heater works insanely well. Probably gonna have to turn it down some.
  • Are you plugged in or running on a battery? If you're on the battery, low battery voltage will not allow the fan to wind up to speed. Low fan speed won't trip the sail switch. Failed sail switch, no gas delivery to burner. Try plugging into your house.
  • It's propane. What has me flummoxed though, all the other propane things are working. Water heater is a champ, stove top is rocking, fridge is cold...
  • Is the water heater on propane or electric? Your propane tank is probably empty. The gauge on the tank itself sometimes stick. If you take a magnet and move it around the gauge you should free it up and get it to accurately tell you what's in the tank.
