You just light the Oven/range burners, all of them. While they are lit start the Water Heater on LP. IF the Water heater Lights and the flames on the range stay full and do NOT diminish, your regulator is OK. IMO, you have a defective part on the Furnace. Probably the electrode has a crack in the porcelain, but on a unit 12 years old, possible bad Ignition module. Doug
