Next step, I bypassed the sail switch, still not working. Like you say, the sail switch must of functionned properly, it must close the contact for the circuit board to send a signal to the two propane valves on the furnace and to the ignition. Flame comes on but it quits as soon as the ignition stops.
I just do not get it that the electrode sparks but would not send a signal to the board? How can it send a signal and receive a signal, pure mistery to me.
I will try a new electrode. I did clean up the burner grill and the electrode and the ceramic seems ok but maybe it does not send a signal back to the board. The electrode is set as it was for years before so I do not think it is not at the proper place. I did check the 1/8" space.
