Furrion Convection Microwave

Opinions of Furrion appliances please. I have one in our 2022 Entegra Emblem motorhome. This is the 3rd one the factory has installed. They all burn the food. The temperature settings are incorrect. Wondering if anyone else has this problem.
  • Not the best. Our Furrion convection/microwave is fine, but has worn the switch holder (latching mechanism) and started blowing fuses. It was warrantied out by the manufacturer. The only way to cook evenly in convection mode is to use the turntable and round rack.

My wife had me remove the Furrion cooktop and gas oven altogether (the oven was useless). I am installing a convection cooktop and will turn the oven space into storage. We will continue to use the Furrion convection/microwave until it dies again (with the turntable and round rack) and replace it with a Whirlpool when this one dies.

  • Furrion = Low grade junk. Just slightly above LCI in quality, but not by much.

Yes, but they kept the brand name this go around, they dont always do that. That's the Lippert M.O. Buy out, cheapen product, price proprietary replacement or repair parts out of sight. When Furrion started out they actually provided quality stuff to the boating crowd for a few years, now it's just a name on imported junk made as cheaply as possible.

Dexter's frame division, Michiana mattress, Curt manufacturing, Schwintek, could list over a dozen more that Lippert played the shell game with.

I once seen 2 of the same floorplan Keystone TT's at a campground. One, a 2012, was on a Dexter frame, the other a 2013 on a LCI frame after they bought out Dexter's frame division. An eye opener.

Owns or re-labels? (Just asking I don't know)

I know my Dometic Microwave was really an LG (Lucky Goldstar, I've never been lucky with Goldstar and though it lasted like 16/17 years It did not work properly from day one.. I had to modify it (Within my skill set) both physically and by replacing one LG part with a GE part that was superior)

Goldstar (Before they became Lucky Goldstar) also made the only home/office microwave I've ever seen all but guaranteed to set the houde afire.. NO START/COOK button... You (or rather one of my coworkers when I was off duty) put your popcorn bag in. Closed the door, twisted the knob (NEVER follow directions) when it stops popping you open the door. take out your popped corn. close the door. it restarts and catches fire.

Thankfully some was fast with an extinguisher.
  • LCI purchased Furrion last fall. Furrion was started by a few Elkhart area business men in about 2010. They went to China and had knock offs made of certain RV appliances and then started the distribution. There goal was to get a following of OEM's and then be bought out, which is what happened. The products are not relabeled. Their "fancy" Oven/Ranges from about 3 years ago, had so many problems and they had NO PARTS(before Covid) or technical expertise, we were replacing complete Oven/Ranges in the Jayco's we sold. Doug
