OK. A lot of ideas, some good, some not so good. I believe that you cannot make the roof and front cap all one peace because they are made different. The front is probably chopper stranded lay-up and the roof is fiberglass pad lay-up, and will not expand at the same rates. If it were me, I would through bolt the parts together, fit a thin peace of aluminum to comer the seam, then use the sealing method of you choice to cover the seams on each side for peace of mine. This was any differences in expansion, is covered by the cover strip, and there is no open, so to speak, to leak. Just my opinion, and everyone knows what ones opinion is worth.
