OK. A lot of ideas, some good, some not so good. I believe that you cannot make the roof and front cap all one peace because they are made different. The front is probably chopper stranded lay-up and the roof is fiberglass pad lay-up, and will not expand at the same rates. If it were me, I would through bolt the parts together, fit a thin peace of aluminum to comer the seam, then use the sealing method of you choice to cover the seams on each side for peace of mine. This was any differences in expansion, is covered by the cover strip, and there is no open, so to speak, to leak. Just my opinion, and everyone knows what ones opinion is worth.
And if I could do that I would, but as I explained I can only access the underside of the roof for about three feet in the middle. That leaves about 3 feet of seam on either side that I can't get to because the ceiling is in the way. Removing the ceiling would require disassembly of the entire front end which means pulling down cabinets and the TV and the covering on the ceiling, etc.
when the tiffin repair people change out 40 foot fibreglass roof radius units they use high grade "pop rivets" and seikoflex bonding adhesive.Glue two pieces together with that stuff and its never coming apart
