In my previous post in parentheses I explained CTE( thermal expansion ) and an isotopic layup is using (cross plies)meaning the fibers go in all directions not just one direction. I sometimes forget my age but the WPA program was part of new deal during the depression and was a govt program to get people back to work. I was just trying to say in a nice way don't over think this project your on the right track. Good luck.
