Try using a heat gun, or hair dryer to heat the tape and iron it down with the rounded end of a broom handle or such, to work the tape down flat as possible. The aluminum strip will give you peace of mind for the repair.
I was wondering about that. I was thinking heating it a little may make easier to push into some of the gaps. The only thing that makes me nervous about this tape is they say if you have to remove it to use a heat gun or hair dryer to heat it up and then pull it off. That sounds fine except for the fact that the tape is on the roof of an RV and just here where I'm at we get 100 plus degree temps during the summer and I've taken this RV to the desert in 110 degree plus heat. If a hair dryer can remove the tape, what will a 65 mph wind do while driving down the highway when it's 110 degrees out?
